Everyday I wake up believing that my friend is still alive and I will get a chance to fill him in on the news on The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame. For a couple of years now Larry and I would talk several times a week about our love of music and how in a need of these desperate times music can heal and communicate.
Larry and I had know and respected each other for years and all of our conversations always started on the subject of Politics! Then we discovered that we both loved music and especially The Band, the best of Americana music. He was taken by the idea that I wanted to build an operate a Hall of Fame in the Iconic Wang Theatre. He joined his friend Mark Weld, Bert Holman, Don Law, me and other important artist and music industry leaders on the Advisory Board of the Hall of Fame. He helped shape our mission and vision and he put his money where his mouth was!!
Now with Covid-19 The Boch Center is closed maybe opening up again in Sept and The Hall of Fame has come to a complete halt! Everyday I truly wish I could talk to my friend to discuss his wisdom of what to do next.
I wish you well Larry! You will be with me for the rest of my life. God Bless
Joe
